Learning Objectives
  • Discuss the legal framework that applies to people living with HIV as they face discrimination in employment, housing and health care
  • Delineate between the federal legislation that provides protection for disability, sex and race
  • Identify cases where patients may have experienced discrimination and how to provide assistance

Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and registered nurses; other healthcare providers, such as nutritionists, social workers, and case managers are also encouraged to attend.

Method of Participation and Request for Credit
